Celentyx have identified the differential expression of the serotonin re-uptake transporter (SERT) between normal resting, activated and pathological lymphocytes. The pro-apoptotic, anti-proliferative actions of our lead SERT ligand (CX1001) offers great therapeutic promise. As a reprofiled drug with a well established safety record CX1001 is ready to enter a phase II clinical proof of concept trial. In addition to the potential of CX1001 as a mono-therapy, CX1001 has been shown to exhibit significant synergy when used in conjunction with another anti-cancer therapy.
